Inverted-arc breakwater is a new type of breakwater.This paper in view of this new structure through the combination of physical model test and numerical method,then studies the wave force acting on the new inverted-arc breakwater and its wave reflection characteristic,which has important theoretical significance and practical value.Based on the physical model test of multiple working conditions by forward entrance wave,the relationship between the total horizontal wave forces on the inverted-arc breakwater and the influencing factors is analyzed,which finds influence of wave steepness and relative wave height on the total horizontal wave force is larger and the influence of the relative radius and depth is not obvious.The maximum total horizontal wave force acting on the breakwater lags behind the crest of the wave to reach the breakwater.Through comparative analysis of experiments,the distribution of wave forces acting on the breakwater and the calculation values of the Seaport hydrology standard and Goda formula(in accordance with the vertical wall and cylinder structure)has good consistency,but the value is small.Based on the analysis and calculation,this paper puts forward the calculation formula of the wave force on the inverted-arc breakwater.According to distribution of wave force along the depth on the circular surface and total horizontal wave force,calculating action point of resultant force by total force of the inverted-arc breakwater,the result shows that the total force acting position lower than the vertical breakwater,and giving the effect point of the maximum positive horizontal force and the maximum negative horizontal force position height difference is about 100 mm.By observing wave shape variation of the wave on the breakwater,obtains the influencing factor of relative run-up and reflection coefficient and analyzes the relationship between them.The results show that the relative wave run-up increase slowly when the wave smoothness get larger,comparing with the value of relative run-up of three of the circular: 0?< 90? < 45?.The reflection coefficient decreases with the increase of the wave steepness,but the change is not obvious when the wave steepness get smaller.The value of reflection coefficient in different circular is: 0? < 45? < 90?.Based on the comparison of the effects of different relative run-up and reflection coefficient,which found that there is a certain relative run-up makes dissipation effect of inverted-arc breakwater to achieve the optimal.Through compare the data from the numerical simulation and physical model test,the results agree well,indicating that the numerical simulation method can be used to calculate the inverted-arc breakwater wave force.The distribution of the flow field in the process of the numerical simulation around the breakwater is analyzed,which consistent with the test phenomenon.
