Research On The Design Of The Courtyards Space In Museums In Yangtze River Delta

With the rapid development of China’s economic and society,and the acceleration of urbanization process,urban construction continues to grow.In the Yangtze River Delta region,museums and other public architectures are in a rapid rise in the process.At the same time,due to the resistance to the global convergence of culture and the pursuit of regionalism and territoriality,the traditional Chinese culture has been highly valued.As the carrier of traditional culture,the historical development of courtyard space embodies its vitality and value.Especially in the Yangtze River Delta region which is rich in its historical and cultural heritage and rooted in the traditional Jiangnan gardens,courtyard space is not only a place for people to live in,but also a kind of cultural emotion which is deeply rooted in people’s aesthetic needs.Under this background,this paper takes the courtyard space in the Museum in Yangtze River Delta region as the research object,summarizes the design features,design principles and design strategies on the basis of investigation of a large number of outstanding cases.Firstly,through the literature sorting and literature comparison,this paper clarifies the definition and characteristics of the Yangtze River Delta region,museum and courtyard space,clears the research object.Secondly,through the literature,field research and other methods,this paper sorts out the relevant theory and practice results at home and abroad,and makes a detailed analysis of the historical and cultural background of the Yangtze River delta.Next,this paper analyzes the courtyard space in the Yangtze River Delta from three aspects: spatial type,spatial structure and spatial sequence through the indepth study of cases.It summarizes the characteristics of three different kinds of classification according to the site environment,the way of enclosing and the cultural theme;analyzes the elements of space,spatial scale and spatial layout;induces the spatial sequence based on the function and plot.Then,on the basis of the thinking of the context,this paper puts forward the design principles and design strategies of the courtyard space in the Yangtze River Delta.Finally,this paper analyzes the courtyard space in Ningbo Fellowship Museum,and validates the design methods of the courtyard space of the museum in the Yangtze River Delta.
