The area north of the Yangtze River in the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta is a newly formed land in the past 7000 years. It is the product of the continuous siltation and merger of the estuary and the sandbar. Its natural topography has had a great impact on the land use methods of farming, and finally formed an agricultural landscape with distinctive regional characteristics.Nowadays, the rapid development of urbanization, the agricultural landscape here is constantly being eroded, the traditional regional landscape pattern is gradually destroyed, and the original ecological, social and cultural values are gradually disappearing. Therefore, the protection of the unique agricultural landscape of the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta has become an important issue in the construction of regional urbanization. This article attempts to study the development and evolution of the regional landscape of the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta from the perspective of landscape architecture. As the agricultural reclamation method is affected by the natural geomorphic conditions, the research scope can be divided into seven sub-areas,namely: High Sand Plain’s Sand Ridge Area,High Sand Plain’s Depression Area,Riverside Continent Area,Tonglu Water Ridge Area,Marine Plain Area,Nantong Ancient River Branch Area and Qihai Plain Area. The analysis and comparison based on the landforms are aimed at providing a basis for the protection of regional landscapes.First of all, through sorting out historical documents and local chronicles, sorting out the formation and historical changes of the human settlement environment in the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta, and summarizing the natural conditions and human factors that affect the development of agricultural water conservancy.Secondly, study the water conservancy, farming and settlement systems in different geomorphological units, and conduct comparative analysis.Samples of typical settlements were selected through field investigations to study the regional characteristics, scale forms, land use patterns, and composition of landscape elements of different types of agricultural landscapes, and summarize and summarize the history, culture and characteristics of agricultural landscapes in the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta, featuring polder reclamation.Landscape value. Then, the Jingjiang Polder area in the Riverside Continent Area is selected as a typical case for analysis, and the historical evolution, water conservancy irrigation, farmland water conservancy and settlement layout are analyzed,so that the characteristics of the Shazhou Polder have a more intuitive understanding. Finally,on the basis of the above research, with the development of urbanization and the destruction of traditional water systems as the background, the Jingjiang polder area is selected for blue-green network planning, which provides ideas for the protection of the polder landscape in the urbanization construction.
