According to the function,pressure compensator can be divided into the following three categories: constant-pressure-drop type pressure compensator,constant-difference-overflow type pressure compensator,and pump-controlled type pressure compensator.Constant-difference-overflow valve type pressure compensator is a three-pass pressure compensator which is composed of three oil ports : P(connecting with pump source),T(connecting back to the oil)and LS(connecting to the maximum load).The three-pass pressure compensator in this paper,which is mainly used for multi valve constant pump load sensing hydraulic system,compacts structurally,and also it is a single channel and double overflow three-pass pressure compensator with maximum flow to 400L/min and maximum working pressure to 35 MPa.It can lower the load and reduce the energy consumption of the system when all the reversing pieces do not work and it always makes the pump outlet pressure in real time than the load pressure higher than a constant pressure difference--pressure drop of the compensator orifices when one or more pieces of multi valve work,so as to achieve the load adaptation and energy saving.The LUDV control of the constant pump hydraulic system can be realized through the combination of the pressure compensator and LUDV multi valve.The pressure compensator is mainly composed of valve body,pressure compensated valve core,pressure spring,end cover,and damping.In this paper,the working principle and the structure were further discussed,the structure size and connection size of the valve were analyz ed and designed in accordance with the requirements of technical parameters,the selection of component materials was analyzed,the related springs were designed and checked and the core technology of the breakthrough in the development process was describ ed,as well as the test of the product performance and the test of the 55 T crawler crane.In the end,it was verified that the design of three-pass pressure compensator matching with LUDV multi valve on the constant pump hydraulic system of 55 T crawler crane was reasonable,and it can be successfully applied to the host.
