Nowadays,with rapid urbanization of our cities,many conflicts unavoidably occurred to our daily life,such as urban sprawl,less diversified,excessive consumption of resources,high dependence on private cars and loess vitality of urban streets etc.Generally speaking,public space network is the key to achieve sustainable development,and walking played an important role in improving the human settlement which considered as a vital attribute and basic function.However,domestic urban pedestrian research is just started and lack of quantitative analysis measures based on service facilities.Therefore,by means of the demonstration and analysis of walking accessibility in Nanshan,Shen zhen.This paper intends to find out the existing resource mismatches,and provide a scientific support for the future planning.The major part of the thestis could be divided into two sections.One is evaluation of walking accessibility in Nanshan Distri ct,the other is matching analysis of population distribution and walkin g accessibility.In the first part,filter and processing the existing data included traffic,population,building and points of interest(POI).After that,built a database,established cumulative opportunity model and defined "walking accessibility" as "pedestrian who started from each building walk through traffic network and achieve how many opportunities whthin a certain distance ".Next,calculate “accessibility of POI","accessibility of bus station" and diversity of POI,the three parts of walking accessbiity.And draw the overall picuture of walking accessibility distribution characteristics.Then conduct demand level classification of all t he POI on the basis of walking endurance time and frequency of utilization.According to the damand level,accessed walking accessibility of different kinds of POI to figure out where problem is.In the second part,introduced the demographic data and normalized both "population density" and "walking accessibility",analysis the match degree of the two from "overall mean comparison" and "Square of standard value difference" two perspectives to find the mismatch between "walking acceeibility(supply)" and "population density(demand)".Furthermore,the population is classfied into 0-14,15-64,and over 65 years old,and compared with the walking accessibility of facilities they most needed.Finally,this thesis find out the imbalance problems of supply and de mand.In general,this thesis started from micro scale such as POI,construction and pedestrian,evaluated walking accessibility combined walking accessibility with other factors,for example demographic and public transportation.Based on this measure,we can make the evaluation system more scientific and accurate.
