Research Of Public Transit Accessibility Incorporating With Travel Time Reliability

Public transit is one of the most important components in city transportation system,which is the foundation of urban development,and is closely related to economic development.Public transit network accessibility has great signification for the level improvement of transit service and optimization of land usage.Firstly,three types of travel time reliability models are reviewed.Then the reliability buffer time is presented according the characteristics for Bus-mounted GPS data,and the travel time reliability model is established by reliability buffer time.Secondly,this paper proposed the definition of general travel cost and general travel time.Then the travel time reliability of public transit is taken into account in the measure of the public transit network accessibility,and the algorithm based on the the public transit network model is proposed.Nextly,basis on the algorithm for public transit network accessibility measure and the actual demand for target user,the paper introduces the prototype system of the public transit network accessibility measure from the general function design,the data structure design,the architecture and the system function module design,then the system instance is displaied.Finally,taking the case of Harbin,this paper briefly introduces the GPS data source of bus and preprocessing methods,and analyze the travel time reliability for public transit network in different time and seasons.Then public transit network accessibility for Harbin in various factors such as travel time reliability,time,weekday or weekend,seasons and income level for traveler are analyzed and compared.The result of this paper show that the travel time reliability should not be neglected in the public transit network accessibility measure.The public transit accessibility measure,which takes into account the travel time reliability,can reflect the temporal and spatial changes of accessibility under the influence of various factors,which will help the traffic department and the public transit management to analyze the current situation of the public transit network and formulate the relevant policies.
