With the development of the automotive industry, to further improve the safety,comfort, economy, power and other requirements of the car,more and more electronic components are applied to the automobile, which make the vehicle control system more and more complicated. As the man-machine interactive information center, Auto cockpit instrument assembly is concentrated with a large number of electronic control units and components, and the safety of these appliances is not only related to the quality of the whole car and the experience of user, but also life and property safety of consumers as well as others.Therefore, to provide users with safe and reliable driving environment, it's extremely important to take performance test to the cockpit instrument assembly in its development, which can also promote the further development of the auto detection technology.In this thesis, for the demand of the project "Development C346 cockpit censorship system" which the Faurecia Automotive Parts System Co.,Ltd. in Chongqing Branch needs, a key and further analysis and research were made to the KWP2000 protocol on the basis of CAN and LIN, which was based on further research of the relevant standard of automotive testing technology and network communications technology. According to the technical features and functional requirements of electrical inspection in the assemblies of the automotive cockpit instruments, electrical inspection system overall scheme design was completed,and based on the electrical inspection function, the system was designed modular. Different detection methods(current sensing and detecting communication) was adopted by different detection system projects, among which current detection method was applied in the foot lights, radio antenna, lighting, air-conditioning fan, ignition switch, etc; communications detection method in combination meter,headlight switch, telephone module and radio IHU. STC12C5A60S2 is used as a car cockpit instrumentation control chip,and SJA1000, TJA1050, TJA1020 are used as the protocol control and transceiver chip, then the hardware of electrical test system is designed to connect PC with car cockpit instrumentation based on CAN, LIN line communication, thus completing the information on ECU reading and testing. On the basis of finishing the hardware detection of electrical system, the PC censorship softwaresystem architecture was designed and system software was developed according to the need of software function of electric inspection system.The cockpit instrument assembly inspection system designed in this paper experienced many tests at the scene,constantly improving and optimizing the system function.At present, it has been put into the use of Chongqing Branch office of Faurecia Automotive System Co.Ltd, the testing data conform to the actual working condition and the results are accurate. The user's usage indicates that the system design scheme is feasible with a high practical value, and he function is accord to the user needs, which provides an effective solution for the development of the same type of products.
