Research Of The Protection Of Xi'an Yi-Su Theatre And Its Surroundings Under The Perspective Of Urban Heritage

Xi'an Yi-Su theatre was founded in 1912.It is the oldest theatre existing in China and it is also one of the three ancient theaters in the world.It was listed by the State Council as the sixth batch of key cultural relic protection units in May 25,2006.And it was identified as a national level intangible cultural heritage representative project Qin opera protection units in Jan 7,2014.Its protection and development by the community wide attention.With the impact of multiculture and the rapid development of Xi'an city construction,the protection work of Xi'an Yi-Su theatre and its surroundings is facing challenge.The paper takes Xi'an Yi-Su theatre as the research object based on the understanding of the concept of urban heritage.The paper is mainly composed of the following three parts.Firstly,the author summarized the history of Yi-Su theatre through the literature research and the interview with the person concerned and established a new understanding of the value of Yi-Su theatre through restoring the history.Secondly,the author summarized the current opportunities and challenges of Yi-Su theatre through the investigation and analysis of the current situation of Yi-Su theatre and its surroundings.And then the author found out the problems of the protection work and evaluated the current situation.Thirdly,the author listed the content of the protection work of Yi-Su theatre and its surroundings with the understanding of urban heritage protection.Finally,the author clarified what can never be done during the development process of Yi-Su theatre and tried to make a protection planning for the district by the protection strategy.On the one hand,the author tried to restore the history and the development process of Yi-Su theatre including the space of the architecture and the overall environment.On the other hand,the author made suggestions for the protection work of Yi-Su theatre and development of the district under the perspective of unban heritage.The author hope that this paper can provide support for future study and protection work.
