With the development of economic and living standard,the expansion of construction’s scale,the contradiction between supply and demand of water resources become more seriously.Urban water supply engineering planning and design is complex.It should be based on actual situation analysis to improve the science,rationality and applicability of pipe network planning.The aim of this study is to reasonably compile the planning of water supply of the new district of Xian-Xianyang,providing a solid support for the regional sustainable development of the water affairs.It also provides a scientific and reasonable water supply safety security during the process of achieving the integration of Xi’an and Xianyang and building an international metropolis of Xi’an.This text proceeds with the existing water sources and the water-supply situation.On the basis of combining the expected future development,two methodologies: category gross floor indicator approach and classified land area indicator approach were used to forecast water demand of near future and 2020 year.The water supply sources of each area can be gained by a better analysis of the surrounding water sources,balance of water supply and the plan of water resource utilization.In order to determine the big pattern of water supply,many factors were considered,such ad,the lag of the additional water demand in new projects and the demand for water quality with the advance of the standard of living.It was confirmed on the basis of analyzing the present situation of water supply system and network.The foreign advanced ideas of water supply were also used for reference.To ensure the security of water supply system,we put forward the water quality safety guarantee measures,network leakage control measures and water management dispatch system optimization measures.
