Although the transformation of the old industrial buildings have been numerous studies and practice, from a practical point of view, the transformation of old industrial buildings in the traditional sense of space built mostly of concrete works considered inadequate. For example, the development process from the old industrial areas in the complex interests of the game in the "public" meaning,is the leading force in the development process(such as government, developers, etc.)possession, away from the public everyday life;on the other hand, urban space " gentrification "(gentrification)process in the case of the transformation of old industrial buildings is becoming increasingly apparent: to enter the high-income class, rising consumption levels and municipal management fees, thus increasing the use of public space, the economic costs, which is clearly contrary to the original intention of the public space.Based on the analysis of similar urban phenomenon,we believe that a simple form, style, space operation means,in the similar transformation of old industrial buildings in city renovation process has been slightly less. With the deepening of the process of urban renewal, diversification of social values, and a focus on common shared values, the architect not only need to focus on quality issues work space, but also the need to ensure the proper functioning of public space in the city of complexity. This study hopes from the perspective of urban space re-analysis of old industrial building renovation practices, summarized its policy, and discusses the involvement of the architect to create a means of urban public space.
