The Research Of Fujian Folk Defensive Settlement Of The Ming And Qing Dynasties Based On The Historical Documents

Cause of the geographical environment of Fujian mountainous coast,the war conflict in the history,the enemy intrusion has often happened.Especially in the Ming and Qing dynasties,various types of defensive settlement have been built under the turbulent social environment everywhere in Fujian,such as tulou,qala,village lu,fort village and other types.The existing study of Fujian defensive settlements are mainly focused on investigation and study of surveying and mapping to the historical physical buildings.For the existing rich in Fujian around distinguishing defensive settlements in the historical records,which lack of carding and research of the system.This article mainly through statistics,analysis,sorting to the local historical data,teases out the development and construction of folk defensive settlements in Fujian,and its relationship with the military settlement.It applys the research method of sociology,philology of history to the research of Fujian defensive settlements.Through the literature,statistics,analysis and other ways to large number of documents,historical materials and chorography,it comprehensively and deeply perspectives the influence of Fujian defensive settlements to various social strata from multiple perspectives.In the Ming and Qing dynasties,Fujian folk defensive settlements are formed not only in civilian self-initiative,are also a result of the official control.Fujian defensive settlements from their pure military resistance to enemy,and slowly they're fading together with residence.Later the living function even becomes more important.Certainly,this evolution is not a one-way process,but has close relationship with Fujian complex turbulent social environment in the Ming and Qing dynasties.From the development of Fujian traditional defensive settlements in the Ming and Qing dynasties,we can see the living state of local society-living together.This kind of lifestyle is the social need of security defense in face ofsevere external threat,also reflect local clan social consciousness constantly reinforced in the Ming and Qing dynasties.Social relations between defensive settlements and the clan in the region of Fujian province--defensive settlements,not only enhance the family clan consciousness,at the same time also strengthen the geographical relations.But in the construction of the defensive settlements,family blood relationship is given priority,geographical relationship is complementary.
