| Population aging is a global concern and an urgent problem to be solved.With the transformation of society and the change of population,it is difficult for traditional family support and institution support to provide suitable living environment for the elderly.Effectively improve the quality of life for the elderly is the responsibility of architects.In China,the facilities and policies of the elderly support industry are not yet refined,and still in the beginning of developments.As New Zealand stepped into the aging society early,and have developed a relatively mature system,from the local pension system,service management policy and the elderly living dwelling have a more impeccable system.Therefore,this paper selected New Zealand's Retirement Village and Serviced Apartment as the research object,from which to research the design and construction experience in deep and provide guidance for elderly dwelling in China.As the country enjoys the best social welfare,the New Zealand government provides well organized social safety nets to insure the living condition of the elderly,this paper starts from the policy level,analysis the advantages of New Zealand pension policy,includes New Zealand's superannuation,medical policy and Kiwi Saver Scheme.Secondly,the paper analysis the four aspects of New Zealand Retirement Village includes: development status,operation mode,management mode and service mode.In addition,an overview of the four types of elderly residential options within New Zealand Retirement Village: Serviced Villas,Serviced Apartments,Rest Home Care and Hospital Care.Finally,four New Zealand local Retirement Villages were selected to carry out case studies,in depth research and analysis of the Retirement Village and Serviced Apartment,from the overall site to the apartment layout design experience,from the external environment to the internal living space,and to provide scientific basis and technical reference for the sustainable development of the elderly dwelling in China. |
