Oil is treated as one of the most important energy sources in industrial development.The oil equipment manufacturing is the top priority in the field of oil production.Pumping unit movement is realized by the reversing device of pumping unit which was the key in pumping unit equipment.The traditional beam pumping unit couldn’t meet the requirements of oil production because of the low efficiency,and the non beam pumping units with new type of reversing device have been designed at home and abroad.The purpose of this subject was to design a kind of automatic reversing device without switching by studied the way of drum type pumping unit switching and the motion characteristics of non-circular planetary gear transmission system.The monolithic construction of the device is simple and the complicated structure with frequent failure could be avoided.The stability of the reversing motion of the pumping unit and the adaptability to a variety of working conditions could be improved by the device which worked smoothly.Firstly,in order to determine the pumping unit reversing device transmission scheme and derive the formula of gear transmission,the drum type pumping unit principle and non-circular gear with planetary gear train had been analyzed.The structure of the gear train and the non-circular gear were analyzed to ensure that the gear train could reach the requirement of the reversing motion of the pumping unit.Secondly,each component of the reversing device was designed.The calculation formula of the pitch curve of non-circular gear was derived.According to the requirements of the motion and the parameters of the standard circular gears,the non-circular gear design parameters were selected and the tooth profile was drawn.The reversing device other parts were designed and built the 3D model according to the tolerance fit.After that,the whole model of the reversing device was assembled and introduced into the ADAMS for motion simulation and the results were compared and analyzed.Then,the structure of the drum pumping unit was designed,and the influence of the gear train on the working performance of the pumping unit was analyzed.The modal analysis was carried out for non-circular gear and gear box and reversing device.The modal shapes and the corresponding natural frequency analysis were tested to found the design strength of weak point and resonance frequency,and made plan to improvement structure.Finally,the performance test of the reversing device of drum pumping unit was carried out.The experimental platform included mechanical structure,data acquisition and control section,test software part.The data of the movement and the vibration of the reversing device were recorded,processed and displayed by the sensors and testing software.Compared with the experimental data and made the further analysis on the characteristics of the movement and vibration device.The application of non circular planetary gear train in a reversing device Verified to be correct by the transmission theory and the performance testing on reversing device.This application also provided a new idea for the research and development of pumping equipment.
