Purification system is a necessity for spacecraft and space station water purification,and Roots blower,used as the compressor,is an important component of the system.The design in this dissertation is used in space systems,and as a result of the strict weight and size limit,a small Roots blower is a must,thus the design method of traditional large Roots blower cannot meet the demand,therefore,it is necessary to study the design and machining method of small Roots rotor,especially the parametric modeling of the helix Roots rotor with complex profile,influencing factors of rotor design,the effect of rotor on Roots blower performance,rotor manufacturing and other problems to be solved.Based on gearing theory,this dissertation designs various profiles of helix Roots rotor,builds the helical surface system of the helix rotor,and conducts virtual assembly and dynamic simulation,motion simulation and interference test to ensure the rationality of the design,and thus forming the design process of the Roots rotor.By using CFX immersed solid method,this dissertation simulates a transient simulation of the internal flow field of Roots blower,explores the effect of profiles and gaps on the internal flow field,discovers the influence law of different gaps,and different profiles(circular rotor and improved involute rotor)on Roots blower performance,and thus providing the basis for rotor design.Through the static analysis,the individual effect of centrifugal force on rotor stress and deformation is achieved.By using Workbench,the FLUENT flow field analysis results are loaded into Static Structure to analyze the effect of aerodynamic pressure and thermal coupling on rotor stress and deformation,therefore,the rule of rotor deformation is discovered,which provides reference for the gap design of rotors.This dissertation plans the NC machining tool path by using UG,carries out a machining simulation and a interference test,gets the 5-axis machining path,conducts the NC code post-processing,and verifies the rationality of tool path and NC code by the machining experiment.
