Mechanical work gradually replaced manual labor in Industrialization era, it plays an increasingly important role in testing and repairing the machine in the national economic development, so testing and repairing machine become increasingly important too. Long time working in the fault condition is the direct cause of mechanical damage and is also one of the most important reasons. In order to extend the service life of machinery, we must ensure the machine long-term working in the normal state, so we need to online monitor the machine's working condition in long-term. Once the machine breaks down, you must remind the staff of the fault, so the staff can handle the fault immediately.Roots blower, generator sets, fans and other rotating machine are important part in the modern ship system, that they can work in long-term is critical to safe navigation of ships. Such large rotating machinery must generate vibration while they are working. When the machine breaks down, the vibration will be very severe. If it works in long time in the fault state, it will be fatal to the machine. There are a large number of old equipment in modern ships, especially in those more common ship which is in the extended service, the old equipments on most ships are still able to work, The old equipments break down frequently and if abandon them, it is a waste of national resources. To continue use the old equipments cost more human and financial resources, therefore, monitoring the old equipments and to identify the faults in the first time is very important.In this article, we use the Roots blower as the main research object. The article has designed an online monitoring device that can handle the problem that mentioned. We use SCM c8051f340 as core device. The temperature sensor ds18b20 and vibration sensors Model1221 collect temperature and vibration analog signals which can be AD converted by SCM. We display the temperature and vibration data through LCD, and store the data into U-disk, Finally, we designed a soft that can translate the data into image which can make the analysis of fault more convenient.
