Private car is no longer a kind of travel tools that is exclusive to the minority with the continuous improvement of people's living standards.Urban traffic congestion become the norm due to the explosive growth of the number of cars.In some big cities,there are traffic paralysis during the commuter time.Based on this situation,this paper discusses the actual bearing capacity of urban road network,which can control the speed of motor vehicle's development effectively and ease the traffic problem(i.e.,traffic congestion,traffic pollution).By reading a lot of literature,The paper analyzed the current situation for the historical study of the capacity of the urban road network at home and abroad.Then according to the purpose of this paper,the main research contents of this paper are determined.First,This paper summarizes several mature algorithms of urban road network capacity,and analyzes the advantages,disadvantages and applicability of several typical algorithms.Then on the basis of summarizing the previous research results,this paper analyzes the internal factors(road layout and road grade structure)and external factors(service level and exhaust emission limits)that affect the capacity of the urban road network.According to the purpose of this study,the capacity of the road network in this paper is clearly defined,and its dimension is determined.Second,This paper established the bi-level programming model of road network reserve capacity with the minimum tolerable average operating speed and the unit time emissions as a constraint,and the user balance distribution as a means of distribution;summarizing the application scope,advantages and disadvantages of several commonly used solutions of the bi-level programming model,and giving the concrete solution of the bi-level programming model built in this paper-A method of iterative load balancing assignment Based on TransCAD.Further,The potential bottlenecks of the road network are defined,and the identification process is described in detail in this paper;and analyzing the specific application of road network capacity in guiding the direction of government investment,determining the importance of road section,forecasting the reasonable development level of motor vehicle and evaluating the overall operation status of road network.Finally,calculating the reserve capacity by the capacity model in a virtual network;and finding the weakness of the virtual network base on the concept and recognition methods of the network bottleneck.The outcome of this paper can establish the urban transport policy and determine the transport investment direction,keep the excessive exhaust emissions under control.as a result;this paper has the practical application value.
