Oil damping circuit breaker has the characteristics of overload protection and short circuit transient protection.Because the viscosity of the methyl silicone adopted in the oil cup is stable,protection characteristics of circuit breaker are little influenced by environmental temperature,and it is widely used in communications equipment,power,railway locomotives,power generation and automation equipment and other industries.An improvement is made on the past research methods that treated oil damping circuit breakers separately in the sense that this paper combines the release and the operation mechanism in the study.A general simulation model of oil damping circuit breaker is created and dynamic simulation and characteristic analysis are performed on models with different current multiples,and the operation mechanism of the part has carried on the optimized design.The internal dimensions of the circuit breaker are measured by using CMM(three coordinate measuring instrument).The 3D solid model of the circuit breaker is built and assembled by using 3D modeling software Pro/ENGINEER.Imported the Pro/ENGINEER model into the multi-body dynamics simulation software ADAMS.According to the actual situation of ADAMS,the material properties are set according to the actual situation.In handle,armature and core parts such as adding a flexible force and the force with the time variation,and the ANSYS to calculate the electromagnetic force data table under different air gap,current and armature angle and fluid mechanics calculation software FLUENT is calculated under different velocity resistivity oil damping data table added to the Adams,the dynamic simulation model of whole of oil damping circuit breaker.Then on the simulation of current value set up under different current ratio of the model simulation,studied the dynamic model under different current multiple core speed,gas gap size,armature rotation angle,contact speed and core force changes in the situation and circuit breaker operating time etc.characteristics,circuit breaker in normal,overload,short circuit current dynamic characteristics.In this paper,we have studied the core position of the separation model which can not be solved by the separation model.In this paper,the overall model simulation results,experimental results and the simulation results are compared.The results show that the model is more close to the actual situation.The simulation results show that the two part of the performance of the circuit breaker is considered,and the error of the simulation is reduced.Finally,after the analysis and summary of the simulation data,the mechanism of the circuit breaker is optimized.In this paper,the design of the torsion spring parameter and the position of the static contact,the Y coordinates,the torsion spring stiffness value and the initial force of the static contact with the break speed of the circuit breaker are optimized.The research of this paper provides a design method for improving the design and development of new products.
