In the rural–urban fringe and highway segments passing through village,the traffic accidents occurred frequently in the urban and rural areas,which seriously hindered the urban foreign economic relations and economic development of rural areas.The research of the improvement of traffic safety in the rural–urban fringe and highway segments passing through village can effectively solve the problem of traffic bottlenecks,and has a strong impetus to improve the safety of road traffic in China.Through field survey,based on a large number of data collected from urban and rural areas,the traffic flow characteristics and the temporal and spatial distribution of accidents were analyzed based on GIS kernel density estimation method and cluster analysis.It is found that the traffic volume is high,the ratio of the motorcycle is high,and the speed distribution,the accident prone section and the traffic accident are determined.Secondly,according to the characteristics of the accident,combined with the characteristics of driver's psycho-physiological and traffic flow,two safety optimization design scheme for intersection are put forward,the best one is determined by using the simulation software Synchro.The influence of the elements of the access port on the traffic safety is studied.Then,the reasonable access distance between 120~140m is determined by the maximum entropy principle,and the other factors are determined by the principle of saving area and related specification.Then driver's psycho-physiological changes rule of passing is stydied and put forward optimized design scheme of cross section.K-means algorithm is used to determine the value of the different sections of the wrong lane spacing.Finally,using the heart rate increasing,speed standard deviation,the road linearity as the index,and combined with the diminishing effect of marginal accident,the accident prediction model was constructed based on the principle of cellular automation theory.The application of research results can effectively improve the road traffic safety,reduce the accident loss,and provide the basis for the relevant specifications.
