The automated drilling and riveting technology has been widely used in aircraft assembly in recent years because of its extremely high efficiency and excellent quality control ability.As the requirements of riveting efficiency and riveting process planning is more strictly,the development of advanced digital automated drilling and riveting technology is imperative,in which the off-line programming technique in one of the most important parts.In this thesis,the key technology related to 5-axis automated drilling and riveting system is deeply studied including kinematics solution,riveting path planning and NC code generation,and an off-line programming system is developed.The main research contents are as follows:1)A riveting path planning method based on the riveting quality control is proposed.An optimal riveting sequence determining method is proposed based on the analysis and calculation of the riveted lap joint quality's influence factors,and then the best riveting sequence of quadruple-row riveting is confirmed.A regional riveting path planning model is established based on the local riveting sequence optimization,then a regional riveting path planning optimization method is proposed,in order to optimize the riveting path at the global level;2)A kinematic inverse algorithm of 5-axis automated drilling and riveting system based on the screw theory is proposed.The kinematics modeling of the machine is established based on the product exponential formula,then the positive and inverse solution of the machine is both analyzed and calculated.The movement of each axis is solved through the location of the target rivet points.The progress of automated drilling and riveting is simulated by means of CAA,then a experiment is accomplished,which verified the high precision and efficiency of the simulation;3)The structure of CATIA's cutter location file and the automated drilling and riveting NC code is analyzed,the mapping rules between them is established according to their structural features,based on which an NC program generation method is proposed.The transition from the cutter location file to the NC code is realized.On the basis of the research listed above,an off-line programming system of 5-axis automated drilling and riveting system is designed and developed,the realization of each function module is presented.The progress of aircraft wing panel's automated drilling and riveting off-line programming is verified,and the application practice shows that this system has met the design requirements and is able to accomplish the automatic drilling and riveting off-line programming task of the aircraft panel successfully,the results provided a technical example of the automatic drilling and riveting off-line programming system's development.
