500kV network is the main structure of the China power grid and 500 kV substation is an important part of the main structure of the China power grid.It is an important link between power plants and users and plays a role in the energy transmission.It can affect the whole development of electrical economy due to safety and stability of 500 kV power grid.With the development of society,industrial economy,power equipment technology and management level,substations need higher requirements for designing to solve the new problems encountered in the process of engineering construction.The purpose of this paper is to study the photovoltaic power generation connected into 500 kV substation.Firstly,introduction is given to describe the basic model of PV power supply.According to the characteristics of 500 kV substation and the structure of the station,the layout of PV modules,power of PV power supply and PV access system solutions are represented.Secondly,MATLAB simulation model is established and tested based on the actual parameters of 500 kV substation.And then PV model is built based on the MATLAB simulation model of 500 kV substation.Then,based on the MATLAB simulation model of 500 kV substation,the short-circuit fault simulation is tested and calculated on PV model.After adaptability of station protection is analyzed,the model is discussed and improved.Finally,the calculation of power quality is analyzed and discussed based on the PV model.In this paper,according to the characteristics of 500 kV substation,the study of the photovoltaic power generation connected into 500 kV substation is possible.Based on the structural characteristics and actual situation of substation,access system solutions are analyzed.Based on the actual parameters of substation,the PV MATLAB simulation model is built to simulate the short-circuit fault and the power quality.According to the conclusion,it is important for PV model to discuss the practical application value in the actual 500 kV substation.
