In the electrical power system,to improve the quality of power supply,to reduce the transmission loss of the circuit,to enhance power factor of power grid,to decline the power waste of supply transformer and so on all have a close connection with reactive power compensation.That is to say,reactive power compensation is an extremely important part of the electrical power system.Scientific and effective selection of compensation equipment is able to have a deep influence on improving the quality of power supply,reducing the transmission loss of the circuit and so on.However,the compensation which original reactive power compensation system has is mainly aimed at distribution lines.That will not only achieve compensation target,but also will lead to the reactive power being sent back to the power supply side.And then,it will cause the measuring point to be overcompensated.First,discuss the connection between circuit parameters and power factor.Second,calculate related parameters and data about capacities for reactive power compensation.Third,sum up the commonly used reactive power compensation means.Fourth,analyze the effects that every compensation means will have on the quality of power supply.Fifth,carry out on research in the light of reactive power compensation control technology.Besides,having a relevant introduction on the parameters and characteristics of power thyristor,probing into the operating principles of thyristor and making clear the thyristor series technology and parameter computational methods have been in process.On the basis of the wiring method of thyristor in the switched capacitor banks,the writer explores,in the pulse trigger action method,the distinguishing feature of the thyristor.Within the 101 power grid,its compensating device is TS.The reactive power regulation of this device doesn't have the ability to work constantly.However,if we hierarchically refine capacitor bank,reactive power compensation is still able to maintain a high accuracy rate.The results of simulation experiment show that TS has a good effect on reactive power compensation.According to the contents above,the writer designs a system which can optimize the distribution lines' disperse reactive power compensation.The system is pretty practical.Its choice of the location which is the best to compensate is obtained by global optimization control algorithm.Therefore,in line with power distribution system trend,we can do real-time optimizations,make clear the system's switching method of reactive power compensation device and synthetically evaluate the running cost of the device.The system has been running well in the port area of Rudong County,Nantong.Up to now,it has been run in a good condition.Everyone who knows about in can see that regional network of reactive power distribution and the quality of power supply.Also,the system reduces the loss of the circuit and makes power supply more stable.What's more,it enhances the economic benefits of the regional power grid.
