Mechanical seal is a kind of safe and reliable sealing structure form.With the development of industrial technology,its application is becoming more and more widely,and the market demand is gradually increasing.Especially in aerospace application,put forward higher requirements on mechanical seal of the service life and the adaptive capacity.As one of core components of the mechanical seal,the service life of canted coil spring directly affects the stability of the normal mechanical seal work.And it is very necessary to improve the service life and reliability of the canted coil spring.Therefore,this paper systematically analyzes the fatigue life of’ the canted coil spring,which is set in its PTFE sealing structural characteristics.Firstly,the canted coil spring FTFE sealing rings is applied to the inner gear pump as the background,in order to confirm the canted coil spring as the research object,the following processes are conducted,deducing calculation formula of the radial force of the gear shaft,then calculating the value of maximum and minimum radial force.And it can conclude the laws of the radial force changing with the rotation angles.In addition,it can also draw out the deflection curves of gear shaft,which is suffered from the maximum radial force.Secondly,it is useful to simplify the gear shaft to a simply supported beam mechanical model.In view of the deflection change of the gear shaft,it can calculate the value of the radial force produced by the rotation of the gear shaft and change rules.Its aims is to determine the force source of effects on the canted coil spring PTFE sealing rings and sealing rings load characteristics of the canted coil spring.Thirdly,it is crucial to establish the canted coil spring parameter equation of space curves by using mathematics software Mat-lab and Three Dimensional Modeling software Fieldworks.And it needs to set up the Three-Dimensional entity model of the canted coil spring.Which is imported into Ansys software in order to determine the boundary conditions of the finite element analysis model.Finally,it can be analyzed the main factors affecting the service life of the canted coil spring based on the established finite element analysis model,according to the canted coil spring PTFE seals on the gear shaft by the characteristics of the radial force,using the Ansys Fatigue analysis module to analyze of the fatigue life of the canted coil spring and estimate the fatigue life of the canted coil spring.
