Lightning is a kind of natural energy,its release has a serious threat to mankind,Thunder induction,electric wave invasion and electromagnetism pulse,which has a strong destructive power to modern electronic equipments,so the application of the SPD is indispensable in the modern lightning protection field.In recent years,as a kind of important device against lightning electromagnetic pulse,surge protection devices(SPD)are widely applied to many industry fields.But with the SPD growing in markets,it reveals many problems in use gradually,such as,how to measure the running status of equipment,wether to be degradative afet protection and so on,if a condition happens,which,like equipment inspection?maintenance etc,are also cannot be ignored,but also weakened the security of protection goal,and increased the cost and difficulty in the normal operation of equipment.In further research and development,the SPD will realize and improve the protector towards on-line monitoring,early warning and management performance under the working conditions.To do it like this,which not only can improve the reliability of the SPD,reduce equipment maintenance costs,but also can improve the intelligent level of the SPD lightning protection.Aiming at these problems,this acticle,with taking online SPD as the main research object,has designed the intelligent monitoring system.The main content of the paper as follows: Firstly,the chip AD9238 and chip AD8138 are cooperated to achieve high-speed AD sampling in this article,using FIFO registers and latch as data buffer circuit,which has realized the connection in data processing between the high-speed AD sampling and the relatively slow-speed PIC,this is a major highlight of this article.By processing the collected surge current data by PIC,lighted the corresponding numbers of LEDs,and displayed the life of the SPD and early warning.Secondly,the monitoring terminal has the communication function.According to the host computer instructions,this arcticle write the RS-485 bus communication program by assembly language,and sends the data to PC,Thirdly,using LabVIEW to design the PC interface,the data are centralized display,so they are convenient for users to manage.Finally,Through debugging this system fit the expectation of realized function basically.
