Reuse Pattern Of Historic Districts Under The Urban Characteristics

The “Urban Characteristics” has been the core competence of a city.Under this time background,the historic districts,which pass through the long development and have a profound historical accumulation and cultural heritage,can directly reflect the urban characteristics.With the accelerating process of urban modernization,there are also some problems which can not be ignored during the construction of cities,such as the convergence of urban characteristics,the destruction and disappearance of historic districts,the lost of building function,the inharmonious between established buildings and historic environment,the disappearance of city memory,and so on.Therefore,it is important to discuss the renewal design of historical districts from the angle of shaping urban characteristics.After analyzing the development trend of historic districts,this paper studies the idea of historic districts regeneration design,the standpoint of renewal model.The theories with reference value and practical experience have been summarized.This paper presents the renewal of historic districts should be put into the overall framework of shaping urban characteristics.Then,it systematically analyzes how the urban natural and human factors promotes the urban characteristics,the status of historic districts and how the renewal of historic districts affects the shaping urban characteristics,the meaning of renewal of established buildings.Meanwhile,at the macro,medium and micro level,this paper presents the principles and strategies of the renewal of historic districts.We hope it will supply the studies of historic districts and the theoretical basis of design practice.At last,for the Case Study of Gaomiao Historic District for Zhongwei City,this paper verifies the above theories and strategies and points out that the renewal of historic districts should be combined with the shaping of urban characteristics.With the help of BIM simulation technique,we can integrate traditional culture into modern technique.And we also can discuss the renewal strategies of historic districts from the angle of shaping urban characteristics.In this way,the city memory and history will be continued and developed.
