Research On Status And Prospects Of Reuse Of Modern Historic Buildings In Dalian

With In-depth research of protection and reuse of the historical buildings, the value of modern historic buildings which developed in a particular community of china has been gradually recognition. Dalian is a typical modern city in china with rich resources of modern architecture. In this thesis,taking the modern historic buildings built from 1894 to 1949 as range of study, and taking modern public building in Zhongshan Square and circumjacent as the subjects, then carry on an investigation into their situation and development. The full text is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1 introduced the research background and the significance. The second chapter round up the related research process, status, advanced theory reviewed in domestic and foreign country.In the next section, a brief review of the modern buildings is given. It includes the urban construction process, Architectural style, construction of the distribution characteristics and so on. Chapter 4 is the center section. This chapter taking modern public building in Zhongshan Square and circumjacent as the focus of subjects, make a basic research in basic information, interior space, the external form, and the historical evolution four areas, then make a preliminary assessment. Reference evaluation results and evaluation standards of modern architectural which raised by the Ministry of Construction and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage in 1990, then make a systematic evaluation method of this paper which have four areas, they are interior space, the external form, buildings surrounding environment and the use of information. Summary the problems based on the objective evaluation results. Chapter V with the above re-use under the status quo of Dalian problems summed up the important factors in development of the re-use of modern architectural including design, political economy and public participation. For the design factor of building re-use, there have been choose a great many existing excellent case of foreign re-use of historic buildings to profound analysis, then use the icon to expression and summary the excellent re-use design methods of existing.
