With the improvement of people's living standard,people's attention on health care is growing continuously.Especially in recent years the patients with lung diseases showed a trend of increase,so the demand for domestic ventilator is also increasing.The medical companies focus on related product research and development,so that they can manufacture the machine with recognition of consumer.Due to domestic health care not yet mature,serious product homogeneity makes domestic medical enterprise lose adventages in the market competition.Fortunately,product family in industrial design can be used to alleviate the problem through shaping the brand and enhancing the brand recognition degree.It is an effective method to build enterprise core competitive ability.This thesis first describes the research background,the research process and research methods,and then clarifies the theoretical concepts of the paper.It provides scientific theory basis for design of behind chapters.Then the paper enters into the design part First of all,the paper introduces the domestic ventilator that is the design objects of the paper including its function,structure,and then analyzes its parts weight to help designer to catch the key points.Then the paper unfolds the research from the angle of product family in industrial design which be extended from vertical and horizontal dimensions.The vertical dimension has three levels,from low to high respectively is the level of appearance,lenovo and belonging.The horizontal dimension put efforts to find similarity and sensibility from each level of product family as design elements.The elements involve modelling,colour,material,the main three design properties which influence the shape of products.And questionnaire method and semantic difference method are used to analyse and extract design elements in each level.Finally,the paper use Yuwell medical brand as an example,and refer to the extracted design elements,to apply to the design of domestic ventilator of Yuwell.And then five design schemes of domestic ventilator are designed.Through the questionnaire survey method to assessment with the standard of most characteristics of the "family",the result will be as a reference for Yuwell to develop new domestic ventilator.The main purpose of this thesis is using the Yuwell domestic ventilator design as an example to explore the product which has the characteristics of "ethnic group".The design method will provide a new way of thinking for the enterprises to improve the competitive ability of their products.
