Building energy conservation,as the technical element of "Ecological Building" and"Green Building",is one of the main research directions of promoting sustainable development of urban and rural areas in China.Energy saving of building envelope is a vital part of building energy saving.The main measurement of building energy saving is to use new technics to achieve efficient envelope insulation,among which,the thermal insulation of the external wall is the key technology of building energy saving.Considering he large difference in climate between different regions of China,there are obvious regional differences in building’s surrounding environment,so it is of great practical significance to discuss the thermal insulation and energy saving strategies of exterior wall in hot summer and cold winter area.By analyzing and calculating the conventional external wall insulation and energy saving practices in hot summer and cold winter area,the author proposes optimized design schemes for the existing problems.Moreover,the result is validated by being calculated and analyzed again in energy-saving software.The feasibility of the concept and method about fined design of internal insulation mentioned in this paper,are all being verified by calculation.Through comprehensive factor analysis,optimized design schemes for exterior wall thermal insulation corresponding to the lower,multi-storey and high-rise residential are put forward,the general order of the external building insulation practices and the preferred direction of developing the exterior wall insulation for assembled buildings are summed up.This paper attempts to optimize the thermal insulation technology of exterior wall in hot summer and cold winter area,and to provide new ideas for the external wall insulation practices in hot summer and cold winter areas,so as to enhance the economic and social benefits of the building.The results of the optimization design can be directly applied to the actual engineering design practice,thus providing a simple and effective method of building exterior insulation technology for the architectural designers and producers.
