In recent years,China's infrastructure construction has been vigorously developed.The application of heavy mechanical equipment is more and more widely.However,more and more equipment is beginning to face the problem of aging elimination.How to significantly improve its life cycle and its value is of great significance.Because the arm frame of the engineering machinery is exposed to the air for a long time,the surface of the lacquer layer is seriously damaged after being corroded by rain,and usually covered with a thick layer of rust.Prior to remanufacturing,it is necessary to clean the rust layer of the arm surface.The main goal of this paper is to design a device for cleaning the lacquer layer and rust layer on the arm surface using ultra-high pressure water jet technology.And carry out the cleaning test,testing the working performance and observing the cleaning effect.In this paper,the mathematical model between target distance and cleaning width is established based on the change rule between boundary layer and target distance.Thus,the linear relationship between the critical target distance and maximum cleaning width is obtained.Test platform for jet strike force with single nozzle is designed and processed,and experiments are conducted to determine the change rule of jet strike force under different target distance and pressure conditions.We analyze the relationship between cleaning width and moving speed of the nozzle,and use the method of polynomial fitting to fit the experimental data.Then we derive the optimum moving velocity formula for the matching of the cleaning plate under the condition of arbitrary number of nozzles.According to the design requirements of the cleaning device,we carry out the determination of performance parameters,selection and calculation of nozzle size.And a kind of cleaning device for the boom of a truck crane is designed.The design of the two elevating platforms of the electric cylinder type and the hydraulic cylinder are compared.The strength of the cleaner is checked and analyzed.We carry out the test of ultra high pressure water jet cleaning,and we compare and analyze the cleaning effect of under different outlet pressure of the nozzle and the moving speed of the cleaning plate.The results show that when the outlet pressure is 180 MPa,the nozzle diameter is 0.45 mm,the jet target distance is 23 mm,and the nozzle moving rate is 0.6 m/min,The cleaning effect reaches the remanufacturing production standard and meet the design requirements.Using an ultra-high pressure water jet boom cleaning device to clean the lacquer layer on the arm surface,the effect is significantly better than the way of sandblast cleaning.And it has high stability and easy operation.
