Digital storage oscilloscope can convert electrical signals that human eyes can not observe into images displayed on the LCD screen.It has extremely important role in all areas of the electronics industry.In this paper,after analog circuit design,digital logic design,and software programming design,a multifunction portable digital storage oscilloscope is realized based on a field programmable gate array(FPGA)devices as the main controller,high-speed AD chip for data collection,and a dot matrix LCD for waveform display.This paper focuses on the design and implementation of FPGA-based digital storage oscilloscope.By studying theorys of converting analog to digital signal and analog signal sampling,and analyzing various methods of sampling measurement,the trigger signal,measuring the frequency,the system solution in this paper is formed comprehensively.Including analog to digital conversion sampling module,FPGA control circuit module,and LCD driver module,system hardware circuit uses FPGA plus analog to digital converter signal acquisition circuit as the basic structural design.It uses AD9280 as the analog to digital conversion sampling circuit core chip.With the test specifications,system hardware circuit construction and commissioning is accomplished.The system uses a EP4CE30F23C7N type FPGA chip as the main controller.In the Quartus ? 11.0 SP? development environment,through mixed schematic and Verilog HDL design entry methods,the FPGA internal software is designed with applications of equal precision measurement and equal aging measurement principle.After the design and testing of control functions,the system software of the digital storage oscilloscope can control the signal acquisition,storage,measurement,display and so on.With the 2.8-inch LCD driven by monitor ILI9325 as the monitor,the interface of digital storage oscilloscope is designed.Users can observe key information such as signal waveform,frequency,period,amplitude on the LCD screen,and adjust the trigger voltage of oscilloscope,time and voltage gear of waveform display with four buttons.After the system testing and validation,the digital storage oscilloscope designed in this paper meets the design requirements.The system has a simple structure,convenient use,portability,scalability,and controllable costs.Due to the short development cycle of FPGA,and the software design portability,the system can achieve higher performance quickly,after replacing the FPGA core chip and the analog-digital conversion sampling chip.
