Cable dome is a highly efficient tensegrity structure,it provides a new approach to achieve the large-span roof structure rely on its unique advantages.In the past decades,cable dome structure has made great progress in the field of engineering application and academic research,presenting the broad application prospect of the this structure.Carbon fiber composite(CFRP)has been widely used in many kinds of engineering structures and play an increasingly important role in civil industry because it meets the requirements of building industrialization and has outstanding advantages like light weight,high strength and corrosion resistance,etc.CFRP bar has a high tensile strength and cable dome is a tensegrity structure.Material and structure will complement each other if CFRP bars are applied in the cables of structure.Accordingly,CFRP cable dome has good application prospect and research significance.In this paper,CFRP cable dome is analyzed about its static and dynamic performance,mainly includes the following content:Based on the similarity theory,a 5.4m diameter Geiger CFRP cable dome model is designed,then the force finding analysis was carried out.Accurate initial pretension results under gravity has been obtained after iterative calculation in ANSYS.The CFRP bars are tested its tensile and shear material properties,to fully understand material attributes;Tensile and fatigue test are conducted about the anchorage that used in model experiment.According to the test results and the related principles,the joints and anchorage are designed.Afterwards,the CFRP cable dome model is tensed under construction and executed static loading test under different working conditions.The response of force and displacement measured in experiment are compared with theoretical results,drawing conclusions about static experiment.CFRP cable dome is firstly analyzed its modal,response spectrum and parameter analysis in the dynamic performance analysis.In the time history analysis,the frequency domain analysis method that is combined with seismic wave,modal and dynamic response is adopted,getting the basic rules of dynamic response of cable dome.Then,the dynamic performance between the steel cable dome and CFRP cable dome is compared.The cable dome with additional elastic support is conducted time history analysis eventually and how does the elastic support impact on dynamic response of cable dome structures are revealed.Finally,the performance of CFRP cable dome is overall evaluated and some suggestions are put forward according to all the results of the study and analysis.
