Study On Project Management Of Construction Engineering Based On Lean Construction Theory

Over the past few decades,the manufacturing industry and services have been highly improved through process improvement technologies and information technology in terms of product and service quality,productivity and profitability.These successes are largely due to lean production system.In terms of performance improvement and optimization technology,the construction industry lags far behind the manufacturing industry and services.Compared to the relatively mature manufacturing industry,the problem of serious waste,low production efficiency,low building product quality,imperfect management and other issues exist in China's construction industry.The present situation of the construction industry is not commensurate with its role as the pillar of the national economy.The inefficiency of the construction industry is also a common problem faced by the world and the contradiction in our country is particularly prominent.For a long time,the improvement of the productivity of the construction industry has been mainly based on the research and development of construction machinery and equipment,while the construction project management ideas and methods have not been improved correspondingly.Efforts must be made to improve the construction project management level and enhance the efficiency of the construction industry as it is very important for the overall performance of the construction,improvement of customer satisfaction and the enhancement of the competitiveness of the whole industry.Therefore this paper proposes the use of lean construction philosophy to manage the construction project so that the resources of the project especially the labor and materials can be allocated more rationally;the quality of the construction can be enhanced and the owners' satisfaction and construction safety level can be improved so that the target profit of owners,construction workers and designers can be achieved.This paper firstly elaborates the background of the topic,the purpose and significance of this study and the status quo of foreign and domestic research documents.This paper introduces the status quo of the construction industry and its existing problems.This paper comprehensively discusses the concepts and basic theories of lean construction and project management.The paper puts forward the application method of lean construction theory in project management process.And the comparative analysis of a project using lean construction project management and a project that implements traditional project management gives some inspirations for the project management process improvement of the domestic construction enterprises.The last chapter analyzes the challenges that are to be faced during application of LC theory and suggests the relative solutions.This paper makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the lean construction system and puts forward the methods and ideas of applying the lean construction system to the project management of the construction enterprises.In view of the project management status of the construction enterprises,this paper puts forward the project management model with strong applicability and higher standardization.
