With the nitrogen oxides,sulfur oxides and carbon oxide emissions,and ballast water and pollution caused by biological invasions,more environmentally friendly by all parties concerned.Some columns mandatory regulations become effective,environmentally friendly aspects of the design have become increasingly demanding.With another few years into the shipping market downturn,the running cost is a factor owners first consideration.Efficient,energy-efficient design that has the market competitiveness.Currently in the energy saving aspects of ship design,at home and abroad have a lot of design and research,such as the use of energy-saving diversion fin,rudder ball,EFI type host,the host dual fuel(oil + gas),shaft generator(motor),exhaust gas turbine generators,such as optimizing the host operating point,but a lot of research and design have certain limitations,the need to apply in a particular ship,so for a variety of energy-saving design requires a careful analysis of research to be used.Crude oil tankers,bulk carriers and container ships are currently being built in our three main ship.In all three of them,crude oil tankers,especially with a very large crude oil tanker route long,long time sailing characteristics,the environmental research ship,,saving more meaningful.In this paper,the construction of very large crude oil for domestic vessels(VLCC)turbine design aspects of the use of energy saving design study to achieve energy efficiency,reduce emissions,reduce pollution and other purposes.For ship operators reduce fuel consumption while optimizing design: optimization of host selection and optimization of the operating point selection,the choice of an appropriate speed,reducing the amount of fuel consumed by the host;reduce the power consumption of fuel,as well as more efficient running of the ship host exhaust energy recovery,while the hosts take the exhaust energy recovery(WHR)power design;real difference for equipment selection and use of environmental conditions,optimizing the configuration and system design electromechanical equipment;other studies for the imminent entry into force of the Convention and the norms,find the key factor,and to summarize,produce learn to use and subsequent optimization projects on other projects: a new ship energy Efficiency Design Index(EEDI)calculation and comparison,and ballast water treatment equipment selection and installation of research.
