The Tianjin Port X Terminal Inventory Control Based On Demand Forecasting

The development of economic globalization has provided more cargo for container terminals and the competition between container terminals also has become increasingly fierce.In order to attract more ships,container terminals need to provide more stable and stable loading and unloading services.In order to achieving the smooth operation of the container terminal and the rapid completion of cargo handling,storage,transport and other operational tasks to ensure the quality of the container terminal,is necessary to ensure that the container terminal facilities and equipment have a good degree of integrity,and always maintain efficient operation state,if in the operation process,the failure of the operating equipment cannot be timely maintenance,will lead to delays in the task and the ship and the container terminal business losses.The container terminal facilities and equipment prices are high,the equipment is particularly strong,part of the equipment spare parts with high complexity and design accuracy,cannot achieve rapid procurement,so the container terminal need to maintain a certain equipment spare parts inventory to ensure timely maintenance of the equipment,to ensure the stability of the container terminal operating facilities and equipment operation.In this paper,the inventory control strategy of Tianjin Port X Dock is taken as the object of study to improve the classification of spare parts,optimize the demand forecasting method,determine the reasonable safety stock,reduce the waste of purchasing funds and the accumulation of stock as the goal.The classification method and management mode of spare parts are analyzed,and the shortcomings of the current management methods of spare parts are pointed out.It is suggested that different demand forecasting methods should be adopted according to the different demand characteristics of spare parts,and the inventory control strategy of X terminal should be improved for Tianjin Port X The terminal's spare parts management presents a new approach.
