Performance on purifying particulate matter of some small electrostatic air purifiers in top sale list in China market are tested based on new air purifier performance test lab,which is stipulated in national standard.Moreover,ozone release,energy efficiency,and noise are studied in the test lab.The detail is listed as follows.An air purifier performance test lab in accordance with requirements ofPeople’s Republic of China national standard(GB/T 18801-2015)was constructed for the above performance experiments.Three small electrostatic air purifiers in top three sale list in China market in 2015 were accepted as the test samples.The study content mainly includes three parts.The first part was on decline effects of particulate concentration of cigarette smoke with the influence of fan wind.The second part was on purifications of particulate matter by the air purifiers on condition of different wind velocity,different diameter and different particulate matter source.The third part was on the ozone release,noise pollution and energy efficiency of air purifiers when they were on work.The study has got the following results.The first result is decline effects of particulate concentration of cigarette smoke is close to linear with the influence of fan wind.Higher wind velocity in the period of 0.6 to 1.4 m/s means better purification effect for cleaning PM2.5,PM4.0 and PM10.0.Moreover,smaller diameter of particulate matter is more easily purified.Ozone release has apparent relationship with the decline effect of particulate matter concentration.More ozone will be produced from air purifiers with the time development of particulate matter cleaning and stabilized in any concentration level.Noise pollution fluctuates in the whole test process.However,the top scenario meets the criterion of the national standard.Results of energy efficiency give the theory reference for rational design of future air purifiers.
