In the case of poor outdoor air quality,using an air cleaner is a simple and effective way to improve indoor air quality.At present,electrostatic air cleaner,as a common air cleaner,can not only effectively remove indoor particles,but also has the advantage of not requiring replacement of the filter.However,ozone maybe be released during operation which will cause secondary pollution.Moreover,excessive ozone will affect human health.This factor limits the use and development of electrostatic air cleaners.Currently,the air cleaners sold on the market may have problems such as uneven product quality,short of developing series of specifications for performance labeling and testing methods.In response to the above problems,this paper refers to national standard “Air Cleaners” GB/T 18801-2015 to test and study the performance indexes and ozone generation amount of electrostatic air cleaners.With the help of the numerical simulation method,the impact of the ozone released by the electrostatic air cleaner on the indoor environment was studied.In this paper,the research achievements of electrostatic air cleaners at home and abroad are firstly summarized,then the sources and harms of indoor particulate matter and ozone are introduced.In addition,the principle of the electrostatic air cleaner for removing particulate matter and the cause of ozone are analyzed,and finally the main evaluation indexes of the performance of the electrostatic air cleaner are proposed.By using the experimental method,a 30 m3 air cleaning test chamber was used to test the particle concentration attenuation rate,purification efficiency,operating power,ozone emission,noise,and other parameters of electrostatic air cleaners under different conditions.According to the test results,the variation rule of the amount of ozone produced by the air cleaner under different air volume conditions is obtained.The influence of indoor temperature and humidity changes on the efficiency of electrostatic air cleaner is analyzed.Plus,the variation law of CADR and noise of air cleaner is studied when the air volume of air cleaner is different.Through the monitoring of indoor and outdoor ozone concentration,the correlation characteristics of indoor and outdoor ozone concentration in the room when the window is opened and closed are obtained.Using numerical simulation method,Fluent software was used to simulate the ozone concentration field in a room.The influence of ozone source location on the ozone concentration field and the law of ozone diffusion in the indoor environment were analyzed.
