Armor protection is the basis for the survival of tanks and armored vehicles in modern and future battlefields.Since the birth of tanks,armor protection has closely coexisted with them,and has developed into the future during the continuous collision game of “spear and shield”.In modern times,with the continuous development of the weapon system,the threat on the battlefield that tanks respond to is increasing.At any time,they will face various types of attack from anti-tank missiles,anti-tank infantry firearm,electromagnetic weapons and other types of anti-tank weapon.The explosive reactive armor also continues to undergo reforms and upgrades in this context.In this paper,based on insufficient aspects of reactive armor disturbing jet,composite wedge-shaped charge structure ERA,is designed under static conditions to analyze the disturbing-jet-penetration numerical simulation process.This research mainly uses the current mature finite element analysis software ANSYS/LSDYNA to carry out the numerical simulation of composite wedge-shaped charge structure ERA disturbing jet.The simulation analysis is set under a static condition to analyze the interference process from single-layer and double-layer composite wedge-shaped charge ERA impacting on jet;meanwhile,the controlling-variates method is used to simulate process of jet penetrating the armor and the main target plate from different angles.Finally,according to the pit situation of the after-effect target,relevant evaluation has been conducted.The results of numerical simulations shows that,from the comprehensive effect on the main target plate,the interference effect of single-layer composite wedge-shaped structure ERA on the jet is better than that of the traditional structure ERA.The penetration depth on the main target plate is reduced by 7.5% compared to the conventional reaction armor,and when the middle-level flying plate of ERA is negatively deflected,the protection effect is much better with the increase of the deflection angle.However,due to the structural characteristics of the composite wedge-shaped charge structure ERA,when the two-layer arrangement of the ERA is combined as a one,the defensive effect is better and superior.When the penetration angles are 60° and 45° respectively,the penetration depth on the main target plate is reduced by 56% and 43% respectively,compared with the traditional structure ERA.And according to changing trend of penetration data on main target plate,there is an optimal result for the comprehensive protection effect where the middle-level flying plate's deflection angle increases between 1 and 1.5 degrees.Comparing the results of experimental data with those of numerical simulation,both of the conclusions are basically same,which proves that the composite wedge-shaped charge structure ERA has certain reference value for guiding the reaction armor explosion disturbing Jet.
