The Development And Evolution Of Cathedral Art In Beijing From Xizhimen Cathedral Art

Beijing is famous for its historical city landscape with well preservation for Chinese monuments.Meanwhile,varieties of Western Cathedrales are presented here as well.Through the architectural feathers and Cathedral art,you can learn to appreciate or study the localization of Western religious architecture and Cathedral art in Beijing.When people appreciate architectural art,they first come into contact with the external form of architecture,and then with the spiritual connotation.This shows the importance of architectural form language in buildings.The Cathedral is a traditional architectural form language.From ancient times to the present,there are many classic Cathedrales in the world.No matter which continent or region has a famous representative of the world created by this architectural form language.From this point of view,this article makes a more detailed explanation on the form and decoration of the Gothic Cathedral,which focuses on the religious art and restoration process of the Xizhimen Cathedral(Xitang)in Beijing and the decoration of its public space art.Examples are analyzed of multiple forms of works.Therefore,it is possible to deepen the understanding of the history of Xitang in the study.First,this paper introduces the history,religious art,architectural language and public space of Xizhimen Cathedral(Xitang),until it focuses on the characteristics of Gothic space,and traces the history of the development of this type of architecture in China.Second,the architectural features of Xizhimen church are analyzed,and the advantages and significance of Chinese localization of Gothic Cathedral are expounded,taking the Cathedral space with its own characteristics as an example.Finally,the paper analyzes the different religious arts of Cathedral and how this form of language is developed and evolved in localization.
