Research On The Protection And Development Of Xitang Under The Development Of Tourism

As a social behavior,tourism has gradually become an indispensable part of people’s life.More and more people begin to take part in the tourism activities.With the coming of nationwide tourism age,the forms of tourism are gradually becoming diversified.The ancient towns of the south of the Yangtze River has become a favorite tourist destination for tourists due to its unique geographical location and rich flavor of watery town.At the same time,The ancient towns of the south of the Yangtze River has been in the stage of applying for World Cultural Heritage in recent years and heritage conservation is still continuing.However,though tourism continues to grow,the conflicts between the protection of historical and cultural heritage and the development of tourism are also gradually emerging.Various problems have been arisen.Whether tourism development is the protection of historical and cultural heritage or a commercial destruction has become the focus of attention.This topic to one of the ancient towns with relatively well development of tourism in the ancient towns in the Yangtze River Delta--The ancient town of Xitang ancient town for a specific study.The author excavates its historical evolution,historical features,historical and cultural connotation,and analyze the current situation under its traveling development.From the view of urban designing,this paper puts forward the strategies for the protection and development under tourism development,provides ideas for the development of the ancient town of Xitang ancient town,and also provides references for the development of other ancient towns where tourism is developed.The thesis contains five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the research background,the research purposes and significance,the research status quo at home and abroad,the research object and content,the research methods and the basic framework of the thesis.The second chapter introduces the ancient town of Xitang ancient town from three aspects: the basic situation,the tourism resources and the overall planning.The third chapter analyzes the overall structure of the ancient town of Xitang ancient town,including the construction,streets,waterways,bridges,commercial environment,tourism development and tourist satisfaction,and conducts statistical analysis to provide data for later research.The fourth chapter and the fifth chapter are the key chapter of the whole dissertation.The fourth chapter analyzes the ancient town of Xitang ancient town under the dual function of tourism development and heritage conservation through the investigation.Firstly,it analyzes the co-occurrence effect under the development of tourism.Secondly,it studies the new reality of Xitang ancient town under the dual action of the influence of tourismdevelopment and heritage conservation.Finally it analysis the issues of the protection and development of Xitang ancient town under the travelling development.Under the foreshadowing of the first four chapters,from the view of urban design,the fifth chapter discusses the urban design strategy for the protection and development of Xitang ancient town under the background of tourism development,and analyzes the contents and principles about its protection and development,and proposes the corresponding strategy at last.
