With the increase of sampling rate and bandwidth of digital oscilloscope,the processor needs to process more and more data.DSP can no longer meet the requirement of data bandwith,meanwhile few operation system can work in DSP.In contrast,IPC(Industrial Personal Computer)can easily process data and make communication between each endpoint,and due to the CPU which includes X86 CISC,Windows operation system can work in IPC.As the most popular operation system,Windows provide outstanding GUI,abundant development resource and strong development envriorment.Windows provide the access for communication and function extension.At the same time,with the development of equipment in complexity and high speed,mixed signals are more and more frequent when the engineers do the research and development or debugging.Therefore,this paper makes hardware design for the processing system of oscilloscope based on Windows,and expands the ability of oscilloscope to interconnect with other test equipment while improveing the data processing capability of oscilloscope.The logic analysis module is added to the oscilloscope to adapt to the mixed signal measurement environment..Based on a digital oscilloscope which provides 2.5 GSPS sampling rate,14 bit vertical resolution and maximum 1 GHz bandwidth,this paper designs and studies the hardware platform of its processing system and logic analysis module.Among them,the processing system is responsible for the correct display of oscilloscope wavefrom besides the control of the simulation channel and acquisitong system,.The main contents the paper reasearched include:1.Determine the overall design according to the specific function required by the processing system and logic analysis module,based on the overall design of the DSO.2.Determine the structures of the processing system hardware platform including the hardware design of interconnection of local boards and the industrial computer,and the hardware design of external interface and the data caching module.3.Realize the digital trigger function based on trigger state detect and the imaging function of 3D mapping data in logic devices.4.Add the logic analysis module which provides 1.25 GSPS sampling rate and 125 Mpts storage depth to the oscilloscope so that the oscilloscope can synchronously analyze mixed signal.5.At the end of this paper,the corresponding functions of each module are verified to ensure all design requirements are met.
