The development of information technology and the Internet let car interior information,information between cars,cars and other information carriers gradually form a compact connection information system.Followed by the increasing of in-vehicle information system function,including communication,music,navigation,this allows the driver to complete more secondary tasks in the process of driving.In the Internet age,people have long time to surf online every day,the users that have more than 3 hours on the web accounted for 61.4%,and the communication class social applications of utilization rate is very high,which WeChat utilization rate of 81.6%,this shows that users have a strong social demand.At the same time,the study found that there are 25% of the time for mobile devices in the car,although the users operate the social software on the phone while driving is not very safe,but if there is no better way to accomplish this in the car,some users will be bowed their heads and operate the phone.Many places in our country have been listed calling in driving to traffic violation.Therefore,in this situation,it is meaningful to provide a mobile social information system that can safely operate the mobile social information to meet the needs of the user.It is expected that,in the future,social applications will be embedded in-vehicle information system.However,there is not enough research on the design of social application interface in vehicle information system.This paper will study the interface design of social information system in-vehicle information system according to the social needs and problems of resource allocation when users are in driving scenario.First,based on the theory of five elements in interaction design,this research constructs the theoretical framework of in-vehicle information system design from characters,actions,media and scenario.Take these as design basis and thinking method,several in-vehicle information systems with high penetration are analyzed,inducing its characteristic and providing the basis for the design of social applications.And then through the investigation in real driving environment and questionnaire survey,the research analyzes the main social requirement of the user in the driving environment,including sharing location,browsing Moments,sending pictures,chatting by voice,etc.,and studies the user behavior in the process of using social networking applications.We propose the functions of Social Networking Application in Vehicle(SNAV)and provide the basis for the design of the user process and frame of interface.Then,combining with the framework of in-vehicle information system design theory,people's social information and behavior in driving environment,the research designs the information architecture,user process,interface framework,interactive gestures and interaction prototypes.Finally,we provide SNAV's interactive prototypes or WeChat iPad version for participants in a real driving environment through a comparative experiment to evaluate the system with visual attention,driving performance,and secondary task performance.Finally,we come to the following conclusions: first,in the task of sending pictures and share the location,SNAV' performance is better than the WeChat iPad.Second,although SNAV can allow users to complete the task more efficiently,we should consider the user' proficiency and habits when they use the interactive gestures.Third,the overall availability of the SNAV we designed is higher than WeChat iPad in the SUS score.
