The Defensive Research Of Benzhai Tunpu In Anshun Guizhou

Anshun in Guizhou Province is the "throat site" of both Yunnan Province and Guizhou Province.In ancient times,it was featured as military strategists battleground.At present,its geographical position is still of vital importance.In the Karst topography and special political and historical environment of the Ming Dynasty,Tunpu settlement gave birth to the Anshun area this very special defensive characteristics.This paper,based on the depth of excavating and exploring defensive characteristics of Benzhai Tunpu,for the understanding of military history,ancient city culture and stubborn local architectural heritage protection,is of great significance.Selecting Benzhai Tunpu as research objects,this paper studies the environment of tunpu in Anshun and defensive characteristics of Benzhai Tunpu through literature reading,field survey,and interviews with local residents which provides firsthand basic information,combined with the defensive analysis of a comprehensive analysis of the literature data method,investigation method,observation method,and case study example analysis.Benzhai Tunpu was derived from political and military needs.Under the background of ceaseless war and constantly disruption,as a military tunpu,it demonstrated its defensive features in garrison and joint operations under special historical background.Many factors such as geographical environment and military defense,formed a unique Tunpu culture.This paper,at the beginning,explores the formation background of Anshun Tunpu based on its geographical environment,cultural environment and historical evolution.And then it proceeds to defense elements,layout characteristics,defensive features of the building and the function of psychic defense about Benzhai Tunpu.First,it analyzes defensive elements and layout features of the tunpu in Benzhai Village in detail from the following three aspects--the defense elements which adapts to military strategy,the overall defensive layout characteristics,and defensive layout of streets.Second,it analyzes the defensive characteristics of Benzhai Tunpu from four aspects--the building type of Tunpu,plane form compound composition,unique defense elements and regional defense building materials.Third,it explored the psychological defensive function of Benzhai Tunpu according to the local people’s desire to live a contented life and the effect of virtual image.At the end comes the summary and prospects about researches on the defensive characteristics of Benzhai Tunpu.
