Earth-rockfill dam with advantage of its draw materials conveniently,simple construction,easy maintenance and expansion,low requirement for geological condition,able to adapt to the foundation deformation,and simple construction technology,etc are widely used in water conservancy engineering construction.But the structure of earth-rock fill dam have the characteristics of low strength,poor stability,vulnerable to environmental impact,etc.dam collapse accident occurs frequently,the reasons of dam failure is numerous,how to eliminate interference and find these reasons is particularly important,for evaluation failure probability with structure of earth-rockfill dam has the practical significance.Earth-rockfill dam maintained the security of the entire reservoir structure,in terms of the functionality,it will ignore the various functions of the respective impact of uncertainty factors in the general design,in fact,most of these influencing factors are uncertain and these factors in the functional analysis of the dam safety are consider as random variables and if take the randomness into account it will more reasonable.Accounting the various factors affect of the structure's function,considering the randomness of each variable and relevance of the structure and function of the evaluation and expressed by the reliability index,we can know the failure probability of the structure by the reliability index and failure probability of the one by one relationship and derive the structural's reliability,which can evaluate the each function of embankment dam's safety accurately,what's more it will not only guide the embankment dam's construction and reinforcement,provide quantitative guidance for the security structure of mathematics,but also make further optimization on the technical economic and the structure of dam.This paper analyses the three possibilities of earth-rockfill dam destruction.Namely: circumstances,landslides,and seepage failure.Three kinds of failure mechanisms and analysis methods are described in this paper.,For a variety of ways of the earth-rock dam destruction,using the reliability theory to evaluate each function of earth-rockfill dam;Using the center point method in the theory of reliability establish the safety evaluation model of each function of earth-rock dam.Finally,Finally,the functions of earth-rockfill dam of a reservoir will be reliability evaluation,the results prove the feasibility of the earth-rockfill dam reliability analysis models and methods,bayesian theory is used to solve the failure probability of earth rock dam under a certain water level.For the study of the comprehensive reliability of earth-rockfill dam,it is still to be further explored.
