Earth-rockfill dam is common hydraulic structure in our country.According to the literature of China’s earliest larger earth-rockfill dam engineering dates back to the Dong Jin period.Most of the earth and rockfill dam have a old age.And often because the dam structure aging to induce a series of safety accidents.So we must periodically do the earth-rockfill dam’s quality detection and hazard prevention to effectively avoid cause great economic losses to the downstream dam accident.The study of stability of earth dam compared to gravity dam more complicated.In addition to the shear sliding, uneven settlement and seismic load damage, also includes induced by unsteady seepage piping, flowing soil, and other forms of destruction,and this paper mainly in view of the earth and rockfill dam slope shear slip failure analysis, put forward combining with the stability analysis method of reliability theory.In the first chapter mainly introduces reliability theory in the field of earth and rockfill dam stability analysis of current situation of the development, The second chapter mainly introduces in recent years, a variety of commonly used method in slope stability analysis and the important concepts and methods of reliability theory, the concept of reliability index, the origin moment estimation method and monte carlo method.Starting from the third chapter, combining the project instance of earth-rockfill dam stone river to illustrate how to apply reliability theory to the analysis of slope stability, using geostudio software on the computer automatically search the most dangerous sliding surface, and find out the corresponding safety factor.Then on the sliding surface using reliability analysis method, obtained reliable indicator,Because this method needs to be uncertain factors influencing structural stability is regarded as random variables, and by the structure and function of the random variable of the function is much more complicated than the conventional algorithm, large amount of calculation.So tedious iterative calculation is realized by using matlab to process, the calculated results results comparing with conventional methods, using the method of reliability and get the conclusion is consistent with the conventional methods,Again to verify the theory of reliability analysis in the field of stability analysis feasibility, at the same time can provide the theoretical reference to further research and promotion for the future.
