BIM is regarded as an important innovation driving means to promote the integration of "informatization" and "industrialization" of construction industries in china.Under the background of rapid development of information technology in construction industry,the innovation technology represented by BIM is gradually becoming the key force to transform the traditional production mode of construction industry.However,China is now in an important period of transformation and upgrading of the construction industry informatization.The contradiction between the inherent development needs of information management and technological innovation and the backward mode of production of the traditional construction industry is still prominent.BIM is not the endogenous product of traditional production process in Chinese engineering field.When BIM was adopted to China’s traditional construction engineering practice,"BIM dual-track system" phenomenon appears,which leads to the Low efficiency coupling problem between BIM and traditional engineering project management process.However,the application of BIM technology in isolation is easy to fall into formalism dilemma,which makes it difficult to improve the performance of project management.In the long run,China’s BIM project practice will be unsustainable under the traditional engineering management thinking.The typical feature of BIM technology adoption is to form a project control activity centered on the BIM platform.The appearance of BIM platform will be accompanied by the reconstruction process of project information chain,and the information integration and sharing activities must be completed by means of BIM platform,which will change the project control process.However,it is still unknown what kind of adaptive changes should be made in the process of engineering project control in the context of BIM technology implementation.Furthermore,the control mechanism of engineering projects driven by BIM technology innovation remains to be further explored.In addition,how to apply this adaptation project control process in China BIM engineering practice also need to be fully considered,exploring a viable path for engineering project reengineering based on the BIM control mechanism is also an obstacle that must be overcome in the BIM localization process.In summary,the exploratory research on the control mechanism and process reengineering of engineering project driven by BIM technology has already been of urgent practical significance.The research aims to answer two major problems caused by China’s "BIM dual-track system ".1)Carrying out BIM technology-driven project control innovation mechanism to explore the adaptive changes in the control process of engineering projects in the context of the implementation of BIM technology;2)Carrying out research on process engineering reengineering based on innovation mechanism of BIM management and to explore how to apply this management and control mode driven by BIM technology to the practice of BIM project in our country.In view of this,the original data from a large industrial custom workshop BIM consulting project is encoded based on the grounded theory.A conceptual model of large scale project control mechanism driven by BIM technology innovation is constructed according to the analysis of the logical context of "story line".The research results indicate that under the multi-party cooperative circumstance based on unified BIM platform,the project control consists of four sub-core categories of behavioral norms,audit corrections,decision support and information integration and feedback,the two main categories of information integration and information feedback are coupled with each other and run through the project control process.The results of this study will effectively improve the "BIM dual track" problem in China,then further promote and develop the localization process of BIM technology,and provide reliable basic theoretical guidance for the BIM engineering practice projects in china.
