Combine has a very important role in the agricultural harvest,it can not only improve the labor productivity and reduce the labor intensity, but also can reduce harvest losses and improve the level of agricultural mechanization. This paper mainly studies the head-feed combine harvester which is appropriate for the southern hilly region. According to the requirements of the performance of the harvester and existing problems in the process of harvesting, we study and optimization the key parameters of harvester, in order to improve the use performance of the whole machine.Combine can do harvesting, threshing, separation, cleaning and transportation at the same time, reducing the harvest during complex procedures. The head-feed combine harvester's key parameters matching includes cutting width feed rate, operating speed, the rotation speed of the roller and the moisture content of grain. Under normal circumstances, with the increase of feed rate, the power consumption of separation, cleaning, transportation device did not change much and cutting table is also not much increase. Threshing part and walking part's power consumption is more than other devices and increases with the feed rate. Now most combine harvesters are used feeding quantity control roller speed and operating speed. In addition to the structure parameters of the harvester, the growth characteristics of grain also have a great influence on the performance of the harvest, including varieties of crops, grain density, crop lodging, stubble height, grain moisture content and so on. In all the factors, the moisture content of grain has a great influence on the harvesting performance. Therefore this paper mainly studies half feed combine's Function relation between feed rate, grain moisture content, operating speed and roller speed, in order to find the optimal solution matching between them.In the optimal design of head-feeding combine harvester's the key parameters, this paper established a fuzzy genetic system, combining fuzzy control technology with genetic algorithm(GA), and then it can play their respective advantages of the two systems. First of all, based on the theory of fuzzy control, we can build a the fuzzy control system, which use the feed and grain moisture content as the input and the operation speed and the speed of roller as the output.Then we design the membership functions of input and output variables and establish a set of fuzzy control rules to control the variables of the system. Then using the genetic algorithm optimizes the half feeding combine fuzzy control system to enhance the adaptive ability of fuzzy controller. Finally, with the help of the optimization toolbox of MATLAB and the harvester productivity as the fitness function, so as to obtain an optimal set of parameters matching data.
