Cotton is an important economic crop and fiber crops in China,the development of cotton is related to the event in the national economy and people's livelihood.Transgenic insect-resistant cotton variety,which is less investment and high efficiency,can reduce pesticide use,can effectively reduce the labor intensity and the production cost of farmers,and reduce human and animal poisoning accidents.Using genetically modified cotton can promote the development of cotton production,optimizing the structure of cotton production,cotton industry competition ability,the comprehensive benefit is obvious.This article summarizes transgenic insect-resistant cotton variety Wanza344's Breeding process and cultivation techniques.According to the characteristics of growth and development of wanza 344,we carried out density,pruning,fertilization and chemical control tests.The main results are as follows:1.The breeding of Wanza344.Wanza344 is High yield,disease resistance,insect resistance,good quality,wide adaptability.Wanza344 is tower and loose with oval bell,whose leaf is glabrous and medium in size.The average growth period :131 days,the plant height :119 cm,the first fruit branch node : 6.6,the number of fruit branches:19,boll number per plant : 31,single boll weight:5.6g,ginning outturn :41.2%,the rate of pre frost lint :82.9%,fiber-length:30.50 mm,breaking strength:32.96cN/tex,Mic:4.97;resistance to Fusarium,and enduring to Verticillium.2.The optimum planting density of Wanza 344 is 2.1 million per hm2 Under medium fertility conditions;With the increase of density,wanza 344's plant height,boll weight and lint percentage is slightly decreased,but not obviously;Combined with the late density test in different fertility plots,show that The optimum planting density of Wanza 344 are 1.8million,2.1million and 2.4 million per hm2 under high,medium and low fertility conditions.3.Pruning can significantly reduce Wanza344's plant height and branch number;Pruning has little effect on seed yield and lint yield in the density of 1.5 million plant per hm2;Pruning can obviously improve the seed and lint yield in the density of 1.8 million plant per hm2.4.Under the same fertility and cultivation measures,different fertilization levels and methods have little effect on the plant height,boll weight and lint percentage;can obviously improve the seed,lint yield and the number of bolls.5.Chemical control can effectively reduce the wanza 344 height;the number of chemical control has little effect on lint percentage;chemical control can significantly improve wanza 344 seed yield and lint yield,the whole process control(IV)has the mostobvious effect,seed cotton yield and lint yield are improved by 13.96% and 14.79%compared with the control.
