Good quality seed is the internal cause of crop of increasing production, and relates directly to crop production. Therefore, doing a good job in maize breeding, improving corn production and promoting the development of corn deep processing industry, have a great theoretical and realistic significance. In order to obtain good maize varieties, traditional method is Cross breeding, which make the use of heterosis between the different seeds to increase corn production. But there are two problems in traditional Cross breeding way. First of all, the optimal benign of corn hybrids depends on the properties of the hybrid parent. It is difficult to guarantee the advantage of different varieties to completely heredity to the next generation and lead to high quality of breeding, when simply making two or more varieties of high yield hybrid. Next, as factors affecting the production of corn cover a wide range of complex elements, which make the corn breeding complex and blindness. In order to meet the requirement of corn planting in different regions of China, a repeat of the complex breeding continues to be done in the department of agricultural, which results in a waste of manpower and resources, and a low breeding efficiency. Hence, the breeding method must be optimized. So that we can propel the informationization of breeding or the development of science and technology, improve the efficiency and quality of breeding.Rough set theory is proposed by polish scholar Z.pawlak in 1982.It is a mathematical tool to deal with fuzzy and uncertain knowledge. The theory can get decision or classification rules through knowledge reduction under the premise of unchanging classification or decision ability, so as to discover the potential rules and knowledge. It has been widely used in machine learning, knowledge acquisition, decision analysis, procedure control and many other fields. The optimum of Corn hybrids depends on the properties of the hybrid parent. If we find the key factors which influence the production of different maize varieties and evaluate the advantages of different varieties. When breeding, we can target on these hybridization between the key factors which affect production. On the one hand, we can make the process of hybrid combination strongly and improve the quality of breeding. On the other hand, we also avoid the blindness of traditional artificial cross breeding and improve the efficiency of breeding. Basing on rough set theory as a tool, different corn varieties as the research objcct, the production and various influence factors of production as an index, the paper studied the key factors influencing the area yield of different corn varieties, and the dependencies between the key factors and production, by using rough set attribute reduction and rule extraction algorithm. It created Corn assisted breeding model and methods based on rough set theory. Using Microsoft Excel2010 write macros for processing, Corn assisted breeding system model has been designed and implemented. Research results can optimize the existing corn breeding method, assist and guide the maize breeding, avoid the blindness of traditional cross breeding, improve the efficiency of breeding, promote the sustainable development of agricultural informationization.
