Study On The Breeding, Cultivation And Production Technology Of A New Variety Luoyu No.2

This paper analyzed the present situation of maize production of yellow river and huaihai basin and the maize breeding objectives that adapted to this basin were determined on the base of heterotic pattern. Elite inbred lines , ZK03-1and ZK02-2, were selected by pedigree selection. luoyu No. 2 (original code number Ls203) , came from the cross between ZK03-1and ZK02-2, is a new maize variety which has been examined and approved by the Crop Variety Examination and Approval Committee of Henan Province, and became one of the main spead varieties.luoyu No.2 performs high and stable production. the average output ranked as first and increased by 13.7% compared with Yuyu18(as a comparison) and by 12.8% compared with Nongda 108 in 2002-2003 maize regional experiment of Henan Province . Its original starch content, original protein content, original fat content , lysine content and bulk specific gravity grain were 73.42%,10.51%, 4.19% , 0.32% and 750g/l ,respectively. Comprehensive quality of luoyu No.2 is good. luoyu No.2 had very good resistence to maize leaf spot disease, maize stem spoiled sickness and so on.This article reports the result of selective breeding, experiment and cultural technique research for luoyu No.2. The main conclusions and arguument are as follows:According to the experiment of the density and the fertilation to luoyu no. 2 ,the good planting density and the amount of properly using fertilization are 53000~62000/ hectare and 276.00kg,P2O5 129.81kg,K2O 108.75kg kg/ hectare.The innovation of this article were:1.This paper combined traditional breeding technology and modern breeding idea and polymerized temperate and tropical germplasm.
