| Lonicera alberti was a species of shrub of Lonicera, its flowers were brightly colored,and the flowers per plant were high, the fruits like white jade bead. It is a unique small alpine shrub in Central Asia, more distribution of Zhaosu basin in the Western Tianshan Mountains of Xinjiang, but up to now there have no reports about its biological characteristics and community characteristics in China. The community characteristics of L.alberti, flowering phenology, breeding system, pollination biology and seed biology have been studied by field investigation, field observation and laboratory experiment. The main finding can be summarized as follows:The community was composed of 39 species in 34 genera and 23 families. Among them,the herbs have 16 families and 27 genera, the shrubs have 6 families and 7 genera, the trees have 1 family and 1 genus. The temperate had absolute dominance on the distribution types of families and genera. Hemicryptophyte occupied the highest ratio, Nanophyll, sigle leaf,orthophyll, entire margin leaf were dominant of leaf characteristics in shrubs of community.The community vertical structure was simple, divided into tree layer, shrub layer, herb layer and ground layer. From the level of community structure, the shrub layer plants showed aggregated distribution, and L. alberti was most widely distributed in the community.The flowering phase of L. alberti was greatly affected by the climate of the habitat,generally in July to May. The pollen grain of L. alberti is symmetrical single pollen, the polar view is a triangle, the equatorial plane is nearly circular, and the pollen surface is rough, with a clear thorn like pattern. The benzidine-α-naphthol staining and MTT staining were suitable for the pollen viability detection of L. alberti, and to determine the pollen viability was highest at about 6 h after anther dehiscence. Benzidine-hydrogen peroxide method was suitable for the detection of stigma; the stigma was available when the flower is not open. By the OCI value, P/O ratio and the seed setting rate of artificial pollination, the conclusion is that it belongs to the mixed mating system.Lonicera alberti was hermaphroditic plants, there are two kinds of flowers opening:corolla lobes blooming one by one and corolla lobes simultaneous blooming. There were 17 species of flower visiting insects, belonging to 5 orders and 12 families, and Apis mellifera was the main pollination, which belongs to Hymenoptera Apidae. The flowering pattern of corolla lobes blooming one by one, was the result of coevolution, which is influenced by the effects of the pollination insects.The 1000-seed weight of L. alberti seeds was 0.91±0.28 g, seeds minute,The temperature had a significant effect on its germination, Under the constant temperature condition of 25℃,the treatment of concentrated sulfuric acid 7 minutes+300 mg/L GA soaked with 2 hours could significantly improve germination. Different gradients of NaCl salt stress and drought stress had inhibitory effect on seed germination, the maximum NaCl stress and PEG drought stress concentration which the seed could withstand were 300 mmol/L and 15%, and compared with the NaCl solution, drought stress solution had stronger inhibition on seeds germination. |
