The Quality of arable land for agricultural production is the most important resources which will affect the intuitive sustainable agricultural development and food security.At present,there are two methods to evaluate the quality of cultivated land.One is the land department of agricultural land quality classification,another is the evaluation of cultivated land fertility in the agricultural sector.With the aid of geographic information system as an auxiliary tool,the two work of cultivated land is a major land project in recent years.The two evaluation of the evaluation object is the quality of cultivated land,but they belong to different departments and independently of each other.These two sets of evaluation system are interrelated and different.At present,there are few studies about the quality of cultivated land,such as the two kinds of evaluation systems.This paper takes Lujiang County as an example.through expounding the evaluateon pr ocess of agricultural land classification and soil fertility of cultivated land in Lujiang Count y,the use of ArcGIS software on the two evaluation results were modified,making the t wo evaluation results more comparable.By using the function of spatial overlay analysis,t he two kinds of evaluation results are compared,and the calculation of the grade differenc e is calculated.At last,we compare the difference of the two kinds of evaluation results.The main results are as fol lows:(1)The quality of cultivated land in Lujiang county was divided into six gradesby two evaluation results.The results of agricultural land classification,the best for the five and other places,the worst for ten and other places.Other fertility evaluation resul ts,the best six,the worst for eleven.Overall,the results above fertility evaluation results of a grade.(2)In the distribution of the proportion of other areas,the distribution of agricultureal land for seven of the total area of 31.64% of the total area of agricultural land.Level 7 of the land area is wide,the whole of the two small,middle of the normal dis tribution of the shape,the distribution is more uniform.The level of 10 of the land distribut ion is very small,the overall evaluation of agricultural land.The level of the cultivated land fertility evaluation results for 7 and 9 of the wide distribution of the county accounted for 55.6% of the total area of cultivated land.The proportion of each o-ther area distribution has a certain volatility.It show a two peak and the evaluation results a re lower than the results of agricultural land classification.(3)At the spatial distribution of grades,the grades of Lujiang County,s Farmers quality natural land distribution is more concentrated,preferably is five grade,mainly in the northeast of Lujiang County,Lowest landowners to be located in the Northwest.the grades of cultivated land fertility is more dispersed,the higher grade is mainly distributed in the northern part of Lujiang County,Lowest landowners to be located in the Southwest.(4)The percent of grade difference is 71.68 percent,indicating that agricultural land grading is higher than the cultivated land fertility evaluation results;rank difference P in proportion to the area within the two grades accounted for 66.08%,indicating that the two sets of the evaluation level results are not very different,the evaluation results in most regions closer.(5)The area percent of grade difference of greater than 3 is 33.92 percent,which indicates that in some plots of these two evaluation results are quite different.There are many reasons for this difference,among them,the classification of evaluation units,the selection of evaluation indexes,the assignment of evaluation weights and the difference of data sources are the main reasons for the difference of the same polygon.(6)From the evaluation unit division,evaluation index selection,weight determination,the cultivated land fertility evaluation process are more detailed.The evaluation results more realistic with the actual situation of Lujiang County.
